Dressing Your Curtains
We recommend all curtains to be tied in their folds for up to 48 hours to allow the folds to form. It is best to lightly tie the curtainsat 3 points, top, middle and bottom, using a soft ribbon or strips of fabric to avoid any tie marks.

Shrinkage
Please note that some shrinkage may occur during the first dry cleaning cycle, sometimes up to 5%. There is sufficient fabricavailable within the hem to allow for any necessary adjustment in length. Occasionally, certain atmospheric conditions can alsocause shrinkage in curtains whilst they are hanging by the window.

Cleaning
Before cleaning, remove all curtain hooks if you are using any. If you have pencil pleat curtains, untie the draw cords at one endand stretch the curtain out flat. We highly recommend that all curtains should be dry cleaned. Curtains should be re-hung as soonas possible afterwards.

Ironing

All curtains (except velvet) can be lightly pressed with a warm iron on the reverse side. Steam, excessive pressure or temperatureshould be avoided. This can cause the curtain fabric to shrink or stretch.

Velvets
Velvet pile is prone to flattening during transit or cleaning, which can show as patches of darker & lighter shade. These marks willeventually disappear when the curtains have been hung for a period of time but it may be necessary to brush the fabric upwardsin order to lift the pile. Velvets should always be dry cleaned and never ironed.

They do block out the light really well and also dampen noise a good bit at the window. I have an older home and little or no insulation in the walls so they didn’t make a big difference for me.

Great deep navy color. My husband is sleeping about 2 feet away on other side with only glass doors between rooms. He immediately appreciated the sound and light difference. I can now listen to TV at a normal level without it bothering him. He can hear noise but nothing like before.

Nice heavy fabric. Made very well. Three layers - The front and back are a heavy material of the same color, while the middle layer is a black insulating fabric. (You do not see the black.) Does a good job blocking out the light. I don't understand how any fabric can block out noise, nor did I purchase it for this. Warms up the room by stopping the cold from projecting into the room. I felt an immediate difference which made the room feel comfortable.

I have an rental situation and one of the rooms was right next to some street noise, I did not expect them to get rid of all the sound and was pleasantly surprised to find they did an excellent job. This room did require even more sound proofing in the window but I did feel they did what they said and did it well. Oh and they are nice curtains to. Block out the sun completely when installed correctly.

I bought these for sound absorbency (for a room that I play music in) and they help a lot. Not sure how they do keeping sound out, though, because that wasn't my issue. That being said, they are the heaviest curtains I can imagine getting, so they are a good bet.

The multiple layers definitely reduced the noise in my office where I teach online classes. Outside noise could still be heard but these curtains softened the noise and made it less intrusive. Blocked all light as well.

The product does an excellent job blocking out light. One of the curtains had a couple of picks in it. They were not very noticeable, so I decided to keep it. Again, the curtains do a great job blocking out the light.

Sound/light/whatever you want to block. These are a good product.

I hung these over 2 windows in my bedroom. Now at night it is very dark and quiet. In the daytime when it is hot outside, these curtains block the heat effectively. When the neighbors are talking or playing loud music, it is muffled and much harder to hear. But it does not block thumping subwoofer bass noises. That is what I expected so I am satisfied.

These curtains are awesome blackout and noise reduction curtains. Makes a huge difference and keeps the room cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Highly recommend.

These curtains dampen the sound slightly but they don't quite cover the entire length they're supposed to.

They are quite thick, and you may want to consider an sheer to go over them to treat the bland aesthetic, but they work. There a dog outside that barks occasionally. My sleep app tracks my sleep AND detects bark. Before the curtains, the barking would wake me out of a deep sleep. After hanging the curtains, the app shows that is still detects barks, but it no longer wakes my from a deep sleep. I’d say it works.

I bought a new house last year and it seems you can hear pots and pans clanging from the kitchen anywhere in the house. So I was going to put in french doors, but tried these first. I have four open doorways around the kitchen and also on my home office and I really need quiet while working. These are a heavy material but also have a thick felt liner inside. So, don't expect dead silence, but just from my own observation, it appears to cut the sound in half, not scientific, I know. For my home office, the doorway is 48 wide and I put in one pair. However, I found that putting in two pair, side by side made it much better. There's now enough material that it hangs more densely. I think it cuts the sound by 3/4, again not scientific.I highly recommend them!

We hung this in the entranceway between our family member's convalescent (formerly living room) space so that the sound of people in the rest of the house would be less noticeable. It does help, adds privacy, and reminds the rest of the family to keep the noise down . The curtains are heavy so purchase a solid curtain rod (not included). We used a round rod that came with three mounting brackets. Don't try a spring-loaded one. If hung in a window it also effectively darkens light coming in from outside.

Great blackout not the greatest on the noise front.

we installed vinyl curtains and still felt the sun was peering though , purchased these curtain and i noticed one review mention that its better to get 2 panels for each side to make it fuller and thank god i did it looks very nice, i'm not sure how much muffing the sound is but we have 2 dog who are terrified by thunder and i noticed with some soothing music their fears have subsided so i have that to thank for , and yes they do black out very well, since we do have the rivet version (they offer two types), understandably so the top does peek though but its not so important for me, we have the sun facing us when its sunset and i definitely feel the cooler temperature difference, basically if you have been holding off purchasing them. don't, its worth every penny
