Let's in a lot of light at the top but they're better than most blackout curtains on the market. They keep the temperature in the room so much cooler which is a big plus for me in South Florida. Was hoping for them to block out the sun 100% because I work overnights and sleep in the day. Overall the quality is really nice. The material is heavy and thick and they're super soft.

These curtains are pretty perfect for what I was looking for - my only regret is that I didn't get the longer length! It definitely blocks out light, but I would recommend going with the longest ones because light still filters from the top, so it's best to have the top as close to the ceiling as possible. Love that I can get the look of white curtains while still eliminating 95% of the light! I also fabric-steamed them after hanging them and they look fabulous!

Far from noise reduction, but good at blackout and insulation. I love being in a very noisy neighborhood in downtown Honolulu with people driving loud vehicles, bombing fireworks no matter the occasion, roosters crowing at any given time of the day, maybe twice a month military helicopters flying at night Pass. I'm a light sleeper and have to close the windows to be quiet, hoping these curtains will let in fresh air from time to time, but for me they're pretty ineffective at noise reduction. They have better noise reduction than my previous curtains, but only a tad¡ªthe crickets in the bedroom are noticeably softer than in the living room with the sliding doors open. But I give the overall product 5 stars because they block out very well and block a lot of solar radiation from our east-facing unit. The insulation is actually surprising as mine is navy blue I think the dark colour might trap the heat but no, I think the layering is enough to keep the heat out. But I also have to say that my wife loves the looks and so do I, so point to the aesthetics. I purchased the pole (120-240 inches) and ceiling bracket from Nicetown. Use an electric hammer to drill the concrete ceiling and the plastic anchors that come with the brackets, so this project is budget friendly.

Blocks the light really well! My room was completely black with the lights off with the exception of some light trickling in at the top. They drape nicely and you definitely can't beat the price! Wish they had some magical noise blocking powers but they help muffle a bit of noise in the distance at least.

These are indeed pure white, true blackout curtains. They drape luxuriously, and are well made, thick and soft.I bought them for a room that I have recently painted white, and it seems that I will need to do a bit more work to find the right white for the space. This white is perfect for a room that is looking for a pop of clean white. You will definitely get that. It's whiter than my stark white walls. For reference, it is whiter than both the Nano White (matte and semi-gloss) and Ultra Pure White (ceiling flat) paint colors and sheens by Behr. These curtains are almost perfect. I tend to prefer natural textures to this brushed synthetic (might be brushed microfiber??). The white isn't quite right for my space. But these are still an impressive set of curtains that manage to combine beautiful form and high quality function. It seems that blackout technology has made a big jump since I last looked three years ago. Well done.

I live near a highway and a sometimes busy road is at the end of my backyard. The road noise was so annoying! I thought I would have to move, seriously. After much research, I decided to try these. These drapes softened and muffled the noise. Noises also seem further away, not like standing on the edge of the highway as before. There are in a bedroom and there is a definite quietness compared to other bedrooms. It just feels quieter. They are very thick, heavy and almost suede like in feel. You will need a heavy rod. I think they look nice too. Definitely room darkening but light comes through the top at the grommets. A little steam iron took most of the wrinkles out. So glad I purchased these and would highly recommend!

These are amazing! I have never liked curtains so much. They are TRULY blackout. I mean these babies work so well. They are also sooooo soft, unlike many other blackout curtain. They are flowy, easy to move and pull back, and they look great. If you are on the fence, buy these one. Don't go with another brand, these are the real deal. I highly doubt there is better. And such a great price.

The best blackout ever! The pictures speak for themselves! First image, after I switched the 2 old panels with the new panel (on the left side obviously) and the 2 old "shade" panels on the right side of the window...The picture on the right is after I replaced all 4 panels (my windows are 105° so I have 2 sets of 2 panels). These blackout curtains are 100% true to their word!

What a difference these made! I learned about these from my daughter and we tried them because the bedrooms in our new Nevada house let it way too much light. Both of us need darkness, and my husband had lots of trouble sleeping. It was a window miracle! Plus a fantastic price. Well worth it. When did my daughter get smarter than mom!?The 84" curtains show the wrinkles and I haven't steamed them out yet.

True Blackout Curtains I purchased the Dark Mallard W52 x L84 for my sliding door. Some light pops through on top but that's typical. It's a heavy, thick material which keeps the chill out in the winter months. Def recommend!

These are awesome!!I live in a big city and off a busy main road, I realized my bedroom window was completely transparent at night so I needed something more than the sheers I had. These bad boys do the job! They are totally black out curtains, my phone adjusted to the darkness in my picture but they really do cut off all the light coming in and giving that privacy I was hoping for. They don't have a texture type surface it's a smooth surface, which to me didn't really matter they aren't ugly or cheap looking. They definitely have some weight on them at least 4 extra pounds hung up. Bc of it being a heavier curtain I can definitely imagine it will insulate in the winter and keep in the AC in the summer. They do muffle sound, just not drastically, which for me was totally fine but if you're looking for noise cancellation these aren't that. I was able to easily layer my sheets over the white panels and it was perfect, super happy.

The blackout quality of these turbines is superb. All wrinkles came out with a quick cycle in my dryer. I was very happy with the number of options for widths, as I was able to get matches curtains for my small and large bedroom windows.

Curtains are soft with a suede like feel and the stitching is good. These look and feel like good quality curtains. I know they won't block out sound 100% but they are much thicker than my previous curtains and that will definitely help dampen the outside noises. I am happy with this purchase

They really did live up to my expectations! These are the most high-quality, high-density, amazing and beautiful curtains. I've owned some curtains in my life, and these are very much worth the money. I live next to a weirdly noisy street, and even though I'm on the third floor I thought it was going to drive me crazy. Now I don't even notice it (until I like, open a window or go on the patio.... sigh). But dang, do these do their jobs!

Great blackout curtains! So the doorway to our master bath has no door. We rent... so... I couldn't go about installing a door. I ordered a heavy duty springy curtain rod and ordered these curtains. I installed them as soon as they arrived. They do not let any light from the bathroom windows in at all! My husband gets up around 4am to go to work and I am usually woken up by the sounds he makes in the bathroom... peeing, washing teeth, etc... I wasn't wake up this morning till he came in to say he was leaving. Now, last night I couldn'd hear everything, much muted. So I gave it 5 stars because of that . Overall, I am happy with my order!

Noise cancellation works. Not too much but enough for me. I live on 10+ floor by the highway. I measured the noise with curtain open and closed respectively. It reduces the noise slightly£¬but enough for me to get a good-quality sleep. I feel that the price is a little bit expensive£¬but the material is good£¨I would not say the curtain is sheer£»it is thinner and lighter than I expected though. It has 3 layers and I expected it to be thick enough to absorb noise£© and the curtain is doing what I expect it to do£¬so I give it a 5 star.

These curtains block about 90% of light once the sun rises (my window faces SW) and 100% of light from a bright street lampnar night. The material is thick polyester that is difficult to iron out the wrinkles but once it is hung, it is not noticeable. The black liner does not appear grey in daylight through the white curtains. Finding a pair of white blackout curtains was hard but these are good so far. I do notice some light bleeding at the top and on the sides but it's minimum and can easily be fixed with a curtain rod that wraps around. 4.5 stars

Finally got good sleep in my new apartment I just moved and my place is near a highway so the cars always zipping by create a lot of white noise, but not the white noise I like. These will not CANCEL noise but they decrease it pretty well. Now the cars sound like they are far away. Make sure you get the correct size. I bought them long enough that the whole window is covered so noise wouldn't "leak" around it. I hung them around 1pm and then took a 2 hour nap that felt like a dream. If this is good during the day then I'm sure the night will be be great too!

Keeps out light.I love how dark this curtain is and it keeps out the light except on the sides. I think it would be nice if they put something on the sides to Blick out the light.

    1. Let’s in a lot of light at the top but they’re better than most blackout curtains on the market. They keep the temperature in the room so much cooler which is a big plus for me in South Florida. Was hoping for them to block out the sun 100% because I work overnights and sleep in the day. Overall the quality is really nice. The material is heavy and thick and they’re super soft.

    2. These curtains are pretty perfect for what I was looking for – my only regret is that I didn’t get the longer length! It definitely blocks out light, but I would recommend going with the longest ones because light still filters from the top, so it’s best to have the top as close to the ceiling as possible. Love that I can get the look of white curtains while still eliminating 95% of the light! I also fabric-steamed them after hanging them and they look fabulous!

I’m a light sleeper and have to close the windows to be quiet, hoping these curtains will let in fresh air from time to time, but for me they’re pretty ineffective at noise reduction.

    4. Blocks the light really well! My room was completely black with the lights off with the exception of some light trickling in at the top. They drape nicely and you definitely can’t beat the price! Wish they had some magical noise blocking powers but they help muffle a bit of noise in the distance at least.

    5. These are indeed pure white, true blackout curtains. They drape luxuriously, and are well made, thick and soft.

I bought them for a room that I have recently painted white, and it seems that I will need to do a bit more work to find the right white for the space. This white is perfect for a room that is looking for a pop of clean white. You will definitely get that. It’s whiter than my stark white walls.

The white isn’t quite right for my space. But these are still an impressive set of curtains that manage to combine beautiful form and high quality function. It seems that blackout technology has made a big jump since I last looked three years ago. Well done.

    8. These are amazing! I have never liked curtains so much. They are TRULY blackout. I mean these babies work so well. They are also sooooo soft, unlike many other blackout curtain. They are flowy, easy to move and pull back, and they look great. If you are on the fence, buy these one. Don’t go with another brand, these are the real deal. I highly doubt there is better. And such a great price.

    9. We moved into a new home. I love the home.
I love the neighbors. We saw the home was near a short side street and small shopping plaza when we looked at it. There was almost no activity on the street, as it was a Sunday when we viewed the home, and it seemed very quiet. No problem. The housing market was insane competitive at the time in our area. The market climate was overpriced houses, low inventory, multiple bidders, homes going under contract within 24 hours of being on the market, waiting for a miracle to get your offer accepted. One of our offers was accepted. We bought the home. Fast forward to the first weekday we lived here. Turns out the short side street I thought was quiet is one of the the main throughways to the multitudes of neighborhoods around us. Think modified canned mufflers, wanna-be speed car sprint racers, booming bass players, garbage trucks, lawn maintenance trailers, public school buses, garbage trucks, city trolly system, motorcycles. Yes…ALL the public school school buses for our area pick up and drop off right across the street from us EVERY school day Then to discover the Publix loading dock across the way. Ugh. A. Major. Publix. Grocery. Store. Loading. Dock. AHHHH. Turns out Publix delivery trucks are huge. MONSTROUS. They have massive semi trucks, 18 wheeler trucks, refrigerator trucks…I have seen every kind of delivery truck…beverages…canned goods.
      More trucks…dairy…more beverages…produce…more
produce…bread…chips… more chips… breads…meats…more chips. Who knew it takes an 18 wheeler size truck delivery multiple times a week just to keep their potato chips isle stocked??! Surprise…IT DOES!! EVERY kind of delivery truck whizzing by our home, entering and exiting the dock and idling across the street at all hours day and night. I have seen 4-5 delivery drocks in the dock camping out at a time. It causes major noise, beeping as they back up, banging sounds when trucks let down or slam shut their loading ramps…not to mention vibrations in our walls and floors from the refrigerator trucks. Then here comes the teenagers who get off work from Publix late at night booming the bass in their cars and letting it rip with their sawed off mufflers. So…we had crazy expensive triple pane laminated windows installed on all of our windows. This blocked out a lot of noise, but not all. Then we installed a fence around our home. The fence didn’t reduce the noise but at least gives us privacy from the Publix fiasco. I am very sensitive to traffic noise. I hate it. It feels like an intrusion in my home and it’s unpredictable. I wanted to move even though we couldn’t afford it. I found these curtains and bought the 4 layer sound proof panels. I put 4 panels on each window in our living room and 4 panels on each bedroom window. I took the advice of other reviewers on this website and bought enough panels to where they have many folds to increase the soundproofing. They are amazing. It has brought the sound down so much I hardly even notice it anymore. I was using sound machines to create white noise to block out the noise in all our rooms. I haven’t even had to use them since I got these curtains. These curtains are expensive but even my penny pinching husband says they are worth every penny! We use them with wrap around curtain rods. To be fair we do use them in conjunction with triple pane laminate windows. The combination is very effective.

    10. The best blackout ever! The pictures speak for themselves! First image, after I switched the 2 old panels with the new panel (on the left side obviously) and the 2 old “shade” panels on the right side of the window…

The picture on the right is after I replaced all 4 panels (my windows are 105° so I have 2 sets of 2 panels).

These blackout curtains are 100% true to their word!
