The velvet gives a luxurious feel and hangs beautifully after ironed.
These do not block out sunlight. The light shining through is a pretty blush glow, but if you want black out curtains you will need to buy a shade for underneath.

Beautifully Dramatic. These curtains are a silky velvet that bring a nice dramatic touch to my living room. I love how they look and feel. They came with the usual wrinkles from being folded in delivery but have slowly flattened out with time. The rings slide easily for opening and closing. I was worried they wouldn’t be wide enough for my balcony sliding glass doors but they are the perfect size. They are not 100% black out and do allow some sun but not too blinding. If you are needing something to block out sunlight completely, then these maybe are not for you. You can not see anything inside your home looking from the outside when they are closed which is what I wanted. I am happy with this purchase and am probably going to buy another set for my bedroom windows.
